it could be because the game tries to read/write gamesettings.ini (in your documents/bfbc2 folder) every time you spawn. try setting an exception in your virus scanner for that file. it fixed my 1 second freeze.

Hey Ogs, did you use driver sweeper before installing the 10.4 preview? I think preview drivers sometimes have trouble installing w/o a clean sweep.

Nah didnt use driver sweeper, just installed over 10.2's, i guess that might be the problem, il just hold out until 10.4 WHQL for now anyway Making the BFBC2 folder an exception on my anti-virus also seems to have fixed the spawn in lag, thanks
